昨天接近八点才睡着，睡到一点左右就醒了。稍微打下盹摸会儿鱼，接近三点才起来。进书房放着一场比赛弹弹琴练练口语看看书啥的。五点多了就去跑个步，同时听听播客。不过iPhone外放听着不太舒服，下次用我的蓝牙音箱试试。完了打打mh，先打黑龙，差点进21分钟，然后是雷娘733.离过早还有一点时间，打了把奖杯，结果9分48秒打完，这是第一次进十分钟吧……之前快的也就十二分钟左右。过完早滚回床上听个lecture，差点又睡着了。起来摸会儿鱼，炖个肉骨茶，虽然很简单放调料包和食材就行，但老头子弄的话味道有点怪。完了买点水果进书房看历史研究写一写总结，说实话这个比gre阅读还绕，又有一大堆名词和各种关系，有点晕。比如，我看了半天，到现在还没看出来原文里，伊朗伊斯兰和阿拉伯伊斯兰是谁吸收了谁。写完十一点半，还能弹个琴。不过中途上午买的水果到了，就去取了。外面人已经不少了，还有人在打羽毛球……其实昨天下午从窗户里我也看到有俩小孩打羽毛球了。回来正好吃午饭，完了继续打mh。黑龙直接打到了18分26秒，之前最好也就是刚进21分钟。打打奖杯，果然还是十二分钟。进书房继续弹琴，完了练练口语。两点了打打拳，天气有点热把空调打开了。好在书房的空调制冷没有制热那么水。三点了刷刷题，完了看看书，跟个dance class啥的。貌似什么都推进了一点点，但感觉还挺悠闲的，害得我老在想是不是忘了做什么重要的事情。五点多了记个流水账，摸鱼等吃晚饭睡觉了。

To determine whether a sociery is affiliated to a previous society, we should find three phenomena. The first one was a universal state, which was the single political community in the last phase of previous society. In the case of Western Society, it was Romain Empire, as it incorporated the whole Hellenic Society. After that, there should be a period of troubles, or interregum, which would destroy the old society. While these two belonged wholly to the past, the most important token of such relation between societies is Church, which was established in old sociery and then developed new society later on. There were one more symptom should be noted: a frontier of old society usually became the center of the new one. Orthodox Christian Society is clearly twin offspring with Western Society of the Hellenic Society. So it shared the same iniversal state and interregum, while the Church was Orthodox Christendom rather than Catholic Christendom. The Islamic Society has something in common with Western and Orthodox Christendom. The universal church is Islam, of course. It was divided by two sects of Islam: the Sunnis and the Shi'is. But the twin Islamic societies, the Iranic and the Arabic, were not divided by religion. The universal state before Islamic Society was 'Abbasid Caliphate of Baghdad', behind which we would find the 'Ummayad Caliphate of Damascus' and a thousand years of Hellenic intrusion. The Abbasid Caliphate of Baghdad actually reconstructed a universal state which was the equivalent of the Achaemenian Empire, an empire destroyed by Alexander the Great. In the culture of this empire, we can find two elements, one from Syria and one from Iran. Later, the Iranian elements faded out and the Arameaean or Syrian element had the deeper influence, so we will call it Syriac Society. We can find that, the creative power in Christianity was not of Hellenic but of Syriac. In a mush lighter extent, we can find Hellenic influence on Islam. For Hindu, the universal state was the Empire of the Guptas, and the universal church was Hinduism. The interregum for Hindu was started by the Huns of the Eurasian Steppe, which assailled the Roman Empire at the same time. Just like Abbasid Caliphate of Baghdad, the Guptas Empire can be seen as a post-Hellenic resumption of another empire, which was the Mauryas Empire in this case. Before this empire was a period of troubles covering the lifetime of Siddhartha Gautama the Buddha. So we have identified another society, which was the parent of Hindu. Let's call it the Indic. The universal state for the Far east is the empire of Ts'in and Han dynasties, while the universal church is the Mahayana, which was a variety of Buddhism and spread through Kushans. Before this empire, there was clearly a peroid of troubles named chan kwo. The mundane wisdom from Confucius and the other-worldly quietism from Lao-tse are evidence that the society they lived in was declining. We can call it the Sinic. After explore the living societies of current times, we can continue our research for the extinct societies. From the background of Hellenic society we can easily find the evidence of an earlier society. The universal state is the maritime empire, which left a name as the thalassocracy of Minos, so we will call this society the Minoan. The interregum was recorded in the Iliad and the Odyssey. We can also find records from contemporary offical documents of Egypt. The troubles were from Achaeans and the like, who destroyed the Cretan thalassocracy and the Empire of Khatti (the Hittites) but failed to do so to the New Empire of Egypt. Nevertheless, the universal church as the social link between Minoan Society and Hellenic Society was unclear. Although they shared the belief of the Olympian pantheon, their religion were quite different. Old cretan worship was more personal, and largely monotheistic. Syriac Society might be another desendants of Minoan Society. As the Old Testament suggests, the refugee from Minoan were repulsed from Egypt, and some of them finally settled on the north-eastern coast of the Egyptian Empire, encountered the Hebrew nomads and formed Syriac Society later. In the background of the Indic Society, we find a peroid of troubles started by the Aryas. Ancient Egypt records give evidence that, the Aryas broke out of the Eurasian Steppe in the peroid 2000-1500 B.C. Some of them entered India, others overran Iran, Iraq, Syria and finally Egypt. What caused this? The break-up of the Empire of Sumer and Akkad. The society this empire belonged will be called the Sumeric. After the Sumeric universal state broke down, its Cappadocian provinces became the Khatti Empire after a period of troubles. By Egyptian records of the 15th century B.C, there was a society we called the Babylonia in the Sumeric Society's homeland. The Egyptiac Society had no parants and no offspring. A little more than a quarter of its span was a period of growth, while more than half is a gigantic epilogue. America yields four societies: the Andean, Yucatec, Mexic and Mayan. The Andean Society was in Peru. The Mexic Society reached a universal state called Aztec Empire. The Yucatec Society in the peninsula of Yucatan was absorbed by Mexic Society later. Both the Mexic and the Yucatec were offspring of the Mayan, which have achieved a higher civilization than its successors. So far we have found 19 societies. If we divide the Orthodox Christian Society to Orthodox-Byzantine and Orthodox-Russian, and the Far Eastern into Chinese and Korean-Japanese, the number would be 21.
