After publishing the journal, I tried to fix my VPN. Attempted to use vmess as the communication protocol at first, but encountered several problems. Then turned back to socks5, deleted some configurations that I was not sure about, then it worked. Fell asleep soon after dinner, but woke up around half past 9. Got up and ordered food from McDonald's. Afterwards, tried to sleep but failed. Got up at 1 to do some job search, specifically looked for instructions for freelancers on Upwork. Went to the living room and had a cup of coffee, but found myself too tired to do the exercise, so I read some books instead. Played piano after breakfast, and then took a nap. Woke up just before 9, which was the time my scheduled lesson was supposed to started. The teacher was a black women from South Africa, who didn't impress me a lot, maybe because it was 3 am in South Africa. It was an orientation lesson so I won't jump to the conclusion. With that said, I don't think I will pay for that, it's so expensive. I was quite sleepy then, so played Civilization after the lesson. I returned to the study room right after lunch and continued my game. Finished the game around half past 3, I decided to have a rest. There were still a lot of things to do, and it's not necessary to complete them today. Like optimizing my Upwork profile, writing proposals myself (the cover letters written by ChatGPT were too long), participating open source projects and making my own portofolio page, and etc. I felt 50 pomodoroes was not enough. I also had the idea to create my own open source project. For example, write a website managing my exercise records. I think this project has a lot in common with my imagined self-hosted server, so it's a good starting point for experimentation. I would also look for projects that would be great to demonstrate my skills. The problems is, once I start coding, 50 pomodoroes is far from enough. Well, let me advance carefully. Completed 8 pomodoroes today - two each for English and reading, four for job search.
