昨天晚饭后摸鱼到九点左右,正挣扎着要不要起来跑步的时候睡着了。一觉睡到两点多,三点起来放着曼联的比赛打打fifa。五点多去跑步,跑完了继续打。七点过个早滚回床上摸鱼听lecture,八点多稍微弹下琴,然后进书房看看历史研究写总结。最后一部分犹太人懒得写了,完了去看看中文版的犹太模式。大致上就是不以地域为基础,而以共同文化为纽带所形成的遍布各地的流散社会。午饭后还是打打fifa,完了进书房继续看中文版,因为之后几章看上去就是英文版在看的这一章的内容。不过不一会儿就困了,于是草草看完睡觉,真特么能睡。睡到五点多起来,记个流水账等着吃晚饭了。

Various gods were brought to Roma by slaves, threatened the gods of their Roman masters. At last, the slaves' gods won. For the social penalization of religious minorities, an obvious example is the English Puritans, who brought the success of parlimentary government and crossed the seas to lay down the foundations of the US. In the Ottoman Empire, Orthodox Christendom was clearly religious minority. They became traders for living mostly. Among them, there was one Greek group called Phanariots, who actually rose to be partners and potential supplanters of the Osmanlis in the empire. After the unsucessful siege of Vienna in 1682, the empire's military declined and the Osmanlis found themselves have to negotiate with Western Powers and consider the feelings of their Christian subjects. The Osmanlis lacked such experiences and had to rely on the Phanariots. The Jews represent the case where the vicims of religious discrimination belong to an extinct society which only survives as a fossil.
